What is the best model for a used Honda Civic?

I am interested in getting a Honda Civic coupe. I was wondering what is the best model and year for the honda civic? I want it to be used since this is my first car. I was thinking about getting a 1999-2005 civic.What is the best model for a used Honda Civic?man i would tell you the Em1 or Ek's parts are cheaper , if your wanting to modify is also cheaper then the Ep3's and the F's .. i would recommend an Em1 (Si) , hard to find but if you cant find you you can always go with an ek (lx)..as what year you choose comes the pros and cons, pros--cheaper parts , easier work, cheaper labor, cons, attracts more attentions to thieves , easier to steal if a good alarm system is not invested on it, there is so many things you wanna consider. i own an Em1 thats street tuned, and very well taken care of and its theft proof :).. you can take it as far as you want
