I have a 2000 Honda Accord and i wanted to know if there were any cheap ways to make it run better and faster ?What are some cheap ways to make my 2000 Honda Accord run better and faster?Modifying cars is not a cheap hobby. Lucky for you that you have one of the cheapest cars to modify. Honda makes some great cars and thus they sell a lot. That is also why Honda has very large aftermarket support. There are many companies that make products for the Accord. Unfortunately if you are looking for serious power gains it is hard to come by unless you are ready to spend some big money.
Bolt-Ons are your best bet here. Intake, exhaust, and headder. AEM makes some of the best intakes for the money. They are a little pricy compared to E-Bay intakes and all but always remember when working on a car, you get what you pay for. AEMs intakes are engineered for the car. Make sure to get a CAI (Cold Air Intake) as opposed to a "Short Ram". Short ram intakes will give you slightly better throttle response but not real power. That is cased because of many reasons including the fact that they are sucking up hotter air from the engine bay. But the issue with CAIs is that they can injest water in bad flood situations which can hydrolock your engine making it useles.
Exhaust has multiple parts to it. You can change your Exhaust Muffler for a better flowing one and also you can change your pipes to 2.25 inch pipes. This will help a little.
Headder is another thing to get. I would sudgest a 4-2-1 headder as opposed to the 4-1 headder. That will give you the power in mid range as opposed to high range.
With these boltons you may gain about 10 HP or so. Not too much.
Another thing is tires. Make sure you have the correct size for what you are doing.
If you want more power then you would be looking into cams and valve jobs and eventually into forced induction which is not cheap. What are some cheap ways to make my 2000 Honda Accord run better and faster?
give it to the garage person and ask them =]. most pro way and best accurateWhat are some cheap ways to make my 2000 Honda Accord run better and faster? The best thing you can do for the money, hands down, is an improved intake. You can go with a k%26amp;n drop in filter, or a cold air or short ram intake, the best being a short ram intake with a cold air source. Another cheap, actually free, thing you can do is reduce the weight of the car. You can remove sound deadening, air conditioning, spare tire, ect. Every pound counts. The single best and cheapest handling upgrade are stickier tires, although you will have a trade off of increased tire wear. Switch to synthetic oil. That really sums up the inexpensive ways to noticibaly improve your car. From then on it starts getting more and more exspensive. What are some cheap ways to make my 2000 Honda Accord run better and faster?
i wont give you a lecture on how parts work and what parts do what to a car... ill just get down to the nitty gritty...

for about 200 dollars that will make your car run a lot smoother and faster...What are some cheap ways to make my 2000 Honda Accord run better and faster?Changing gear and braking use more petrol (obviously brake if you need to though). Don't drive with the window down and remove excess weight as that reduces petrol consumption. Also buy petrol or diesel X from halfords etc as that makes it quicker and more economical, so would buying super unleaded/diesel instead of premiumWhat are some cheap ways to make my 2000 Honda Accord run better and faster?
buy a cold air intake and a header. both cheap. and lvl 1 mods. catback exhaust if your serious
If you want inexpensive mods, try getting a better air filter or cold intake kit from K%26amp;N. Also, making some changes in the exhaust system would work as well. This could include a new muffler or new pipe from the exhaust manifold back or both. It just depends on your budget. You could also get a new computer chip or programmer.
