What car (with the same price range) is better than a Honda Civic?

I am planning on buying a Honda Civic. I am 21 years old, and I like the civic because it looks nice, reliable, and its good on gas. I will also be driving a lot. Is there another car that is just as great, for the same price range, like a Mini cooper (or is that too much and can break down easily)?



I also want a car that doesn't cost a fortune to repair (like what I have heard about Volkswagons)What car (with the same price range) is better than a Honda Civic?Mazda 3 is the way to go if you are looking for an alternative to the Civic. It is actually a little cheaper when comparably equipped ($1,000-$1200).

Mini coopers are fun but not very practical

they are choppy and a lil rough without the more expensive

I'm partial to Mazdas ,in general they're reliable and a lot of the models you'll find are in the same price range as the Honda Civic. I found some good buying tips, user reviews, ect., on this site.
