Can I leave my trickle charger cables permanently attached to my honda scooter battery?

Can I leave the cables on the honda ruckus' battery and just charge it while it is still connected to the scooter? Will it damage anything if charging while connected (to scooter cables) and the key is not in?Can I leave my trickle charger cables permanently attached to my honda scooter battery? It should not damage anything, read the charger manual and presuming you picked the right charger for your battery size. Some manuals say to check periodically for overheating, so it is safer to trickle charge with battery out of the machine.

If your battery is in decent shape it will not need to be on the charger all the time if you are riding every couple of weeks. If your battery is not holding a charge, replace it instead of relying on the trickle charger otherwise you are likely to get stuck someone out on a ride. Can I leave my trickle charger cables permanently attached to my honda scooter battery?you can leave them on it all the time you just need an extension cord when you ride itCan I leave my trickle charger cables permanently attached to my honda scooter battery?I believe you can get a battery tender from your local shop, and it will work. When you are not riding it you just unplug it fromt he bike. There is an extention that come out from the batter, and has a slip connector (like on trailer lights). Plug it in and you can leave it for months. it is designed to not overcharge the batter, where as a trickle charger does not stop charging.
