On a brand new 2010 just stick to 87. I have a k-series under my hood. 93 is only for higher compression ratios. I run 93 but only because I have my special-k moded. Either way Honda was fully aware of the octane ratings when they desinged the K-series. That being said, 87 octane works brotha. ....and welcome to the civic family. ;)What gas should I use in my 2010 honda civic?no use 87. the premium isn't really better gas. it just means it doesn't combust as easy as 87. Premium is meant for cars with higher compresion ratios. Your car will not run any better on premium. you will just waste your money. What gas should I use in my 2010 honda civic?
Follow the recommendations in your owners manual. Higher octane fuels are of no benefit to the average car and many of the more expensive blends only contain unnecessary additives. Use what the owners manual recommends and you should have no troubles. What gas should I use in my 2010 honda civic?Changing your oil every 3,000 miles is another waste of money and resources. Again, read your manual. The last Honda I owned recommended every 5,000 miles. What gas should I use in my 2010 honda civic?
