Where is the fuel filter on a Honda 200SX?

My old Honda 200SX is having a hard time starting, and staying running. I have to stay on the throttle constantly or it will die. I suspect the fuel filter might need to be changed (my grandpa has never taken care to keep his fuel especially clean). But I can't find the thing. Does anyone know where it might be?Where is the fuel filter on a Honda 200SX?your idle jet is blocked....clean out the carb and all brass jets....nothing to do with the filter.Where is the fuel filter on a Honda 200SX?
It doesn't have a fuel filter.

It has a fuel strainer attached to the petcock inside of the fuel tank - but that will not filter microscopic particles, only bits of dirt.

If you want a filter, install an in-line fuel filter.

The problem you're describing is a clogged pilot jet.

It's used for the idle circuit and it's opening is as small as a pin - easy to get clogged with bad gas.

Remove the carb.

Remove the float bowl.

Remove the pilot jet (long %26amp; thin).

Hold it up to the light - you should be able to see through it.Where is the fuel filter on a Honda 200SX?should be right back by the tank. It's probably an in-line filter so it should be somewhere on the fuel line. Jack up the back of the car and follow the fuel line starting at the tank...GL!Where is the fuel filter on a Honda 200SX?
