How can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?

We need to save Chrysler. I think we should force people to buy a Dodge, Jeep or Chrysler ever time they buy a Honda. I am sure the Democrats and Obama who now control Congress and the White House will support this to save UAW, blue collar jobs. Will you contact your congress person? How can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?Save Chrysler buy a Fiat.

It looks like the only global US Car player left will be Ford, with GM's European and other global operations set to be sold off and Chrysler to be rescued by Fiat. How can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?
ban importsHow can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?Chrysler should have figured out 20 years ago that it needed to compete with Japanese auto-makers to be on top. You cannot force people to buy a car they don't want to buy and saving union jobs would be my last priority, because the unions are one of the reasons the US companies cannot compete.
Screw the unions. If you can't make better cars, why the hell should we support you?How can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?ummm HELLO, we live in a free society where our freedom means we are free to make our own choices, including the car we buy. Nobody can force anyone to do anything. What's so great about dodge anyway? How can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?
You can't force anyone to buy anything they don't want.
Nope. How can we force people to buy a Dodge when they buy a Honda?
Ah no
If I thought that I could buy a cheap Dodge that lasted over 200,000 miles then I would buy one. It's all about the quality.
Quite to the contrary, I don't feel the need to save Chrysler, that is Chrysler's domain to save itself. When a pickup truck would cost more than a farm to use it on, then I figure that truck is over priced.

When companies have to pay eighty dollars an hour (including benefits) to its employees or face shut down by unions, I figure these employees have priced themselves out of work. If I decide to buy a Honda instead of a Chrysler, don't try to force me to change my mind, I would buy the Honda then just to spite your efforts!
I don't know anyone right now who is buying anything that expensive.
I would not want congress to force me to buy a vehicle that would be riding the back of a tow truck before the payment book is empty. Ask congress to force Chrysler to build a Dodge or Jeep that will outlast a Honda or Toyota and I would be glad to buy one, until then I continue to burn rice and not my $$$.
We can't force people in what to buy. But, with Chrysler now

trying to sell their glut of automobiles before they won't be allowed

to sell them by Chrysler CEO's, maybe folks will change and buy

American. It could be most important that all of us try to make

everything we buy to be American made at this point of time.
Tax Imports and put every one on an even playing field and the UAW needs to work with the auto makers fair wages are ok but when your demands have exceeded the means of the company you work for its time to give back and its time for upper management to quit expecting Bonuses from a failing company
Sorry. I can't do that. I use to build Hemi manifolds. Now I'm laid-off. Sympathize with the displaced auto workers, but I can't support forcing people to do something they don't want to do.
Saving Chrysler? Like others have mentioned..it's about quality.

I have yet to see a Chrysler get $400,000 miles unlike a Toyota and a Honda not being far behind.

I will NEVER buy a Chrysler or any American made car.
No. What's the difference between buying an Italian-owned Chrysler built in Detroit and a Japanese-owned Honda built in Ohio?

Taxpayers are already forced to invest in Chrysler through taxation. I don't see any good reason to also force them to buy a vehicle.
