Could my honda civic's jerking on acceleration be related to the rebuilt transmission put in, in April 08?
I had my transmission flushed. The Honda dealer insisted it needed it. Within a month my transmission locked up! I had a remanufactured transmission put in in April 08. Now I'm having intermittent problems with rough idles upon starting and then the car jerks and cuts in and out when accelerating, especially up hills. The dealer can't seem to find the problem.Could my honda civic's jerking on acceleration be related to the rebuilt transmission put in, in April 08?rough idle and loss of power when a load is supplied(going up hill) are symptoms that point to tune up related items such as spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and such I assume you've double checked the fluid level in your trans even though I don't think your transmission is the culpritCould my honda civic's jerking on acceleration be related to the rebuilt transmission put in, in April 08?yeah... those honda transmissions are very picky... try some lubeguard.. or some lucas. This will smoothen the gear changes and should stop the jerking. Make sure that your transmission has enough fluidCould my honda civic's jerking on acceleration be related to the rebuilt transmission put in, in April 08?Have you had the fuel filter checked recently or the fuel sender/pump? Im willing to bet its a dirty fuel filter
