Change the plug, drain the gas and put fresh gas in it. add some lucas gas treatment to it than kick away. if you let your bike sit for long periods ot time put some gas treatment in the tank to keep the gas from gumming up.Will it help to charge the battery to kickstart my 125 Honda?
What model is it?
A 2 stroke engine doesn't need a battery to run as such but the bikes' ignition may stop it from running with out the battery.
It should start with a flat battery though. (Check the plug to see if there is a spark)
Hope that helps
DannyWill it help to charge the battery to kickstart my 125 Honda?it might help, the battery is for mainly the lights but it could help ignition fire beter also. these bikes had a small magneto genarator for lights and to charge battery at low amps. you might also have a problem with gummed up carb ???Will it help to charge the battery to kickstart my 125 Honda?
If you do have a battery it will start better if it's charged up, sure.
Drain out the old gas and put in some fresh mix.
Spray some starting fluid in the carb and then try. If it won't keep running, you aren't getting any fuel, the carb needs the gummy varnish cleaned out of it. If it doesn't start with starting spray, you should check if it has a spark.
Don't keep running it on starting fluid as it has no lube in it. If it starts on the spray but won't run, fix it.
