What year transmissions will fit and work for a Automatic 2000 Honda accord?

I have a 2000 Honda Accord Automatic Sedan, and a mechanic said he may have one for me, but its not a 2000. I was wondering if anyone know the years of transmissions thats could fit and work in my car. Please let me know.
