What oil should I use for an oil change on a 2001 Honda Civic EX?

I own a 2001 Honda Civ EX and a label under the hood of my car says to use Synthetic PAG oil. Is there a benefit to this? If so what benefit as oppose to using regular motor oil? What oil should I use for an oil change on a 2001 Honda Civic EX?Be careful!!! PAG oil is a special oil used to lubricate your car鈥檚 air-conditioner components! It is not for your engine!

However, for your engine, you can use multi grade engine oils like (10W-40 semi synthetic) or (15w-50 full synthetic) Those are oil grades, not brands. You choose the brand you like. "Mobil" brand for example is excellent. What oil should I use for an oil change on a 2001 Honda Civic EX?
You can check out Castrol's which oil to buy site that helps identify the ideal motor oil for you to use in your specific make and model car. Please visit: http://www.castrol.com/castrol/LubesSelector.do?categoryId=82915731

on a regular 01 civic, 10w-30 should be fine. What oil should I use for an oil change on a 2001 Honda Civic EX?

I would go to the owners manual rather than believe a sticker under my hood.....You could contact a Honda dealer or there are plenty of Honda owners chat rooms on the net that could help you.

My grandmother once said..Don't believe what you read and only half of what you see.
