Is it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive?

I own a 2000 honda crv with all wheel drive and the rear drive shaft recently broke. Is it possible to just remove the rear driveshaft and make do on front wheel drive? Is it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive? No. Four wheel drive vehicles have a transfer gearbox after the main gearbox. The tranfer gearbox is to spread the engine power to both front and rear axles. It has a differential in it and the lack of the rear drive shaft would cause the differential to put all the power to the now non existent rear drive shaft. the car wont move. the only way to drive if need be in an emergecy is to engage t-case differential lock. However I am not sure if your car is 2x4 or 4x4 or 4x2. usually, for 4 wheel drive vehicles the front drive shaft is even smaller than the rear drive shaft and doing the above mentioned method would cause the front drive shaft to break as well. Just get the vehicle towed. The rear prop shaft could have broken because the rear axle input drive pinion got jammed and the car wont move with the a/m method either.

Get the car towed to a workshop. Is it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive?
Fix the car. Don't try to "red neck rig" your way around the repair. Is it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive?its possible to do anything you want, i don't understand why you would remove the rear drive shaft but if you have the money, anything is possibleIs it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive?
Yep. Your car is 'All Wheel Drive', which means it's front wheel drive with the rear drive added later. The only time the rear axle is engaged is when the front wheels have no traction. Then the system engages the rear axle just until the front hooks, then unhooks the rear axle.Is it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive?no the drive shaft is part of the seal on rear of the trans it will leak if removedIs it possible to remove the rear drive shaft from a 2000 honda crv all wheel drive?
